SERIES - ELTONmanía - Wouldn't have you any other way

Ahora cambiando de época, Wouldn't have you any other way (NYC) es un tema musical perteneciente a su álbum The Captain & the Kid, lanzado en Septiembre de 2006.  Las probabilidades de que Elton cante esta canción en su concierto en Panamá son simplemente cero.  La menciono en este blog, en estas Series, sencillamente porque me gusta.

Es una canción compuesta por Elton, en la que expresa su amor por la Ciudad de Nueva York; amor al que ya ha hecho referencia con la cancion Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters (1972), y también en la canción Empty Garden (1982).  Elton ha dado 60 conciertos en Nueva York, y ha estado en esa ciudad muchísimas veces.  Tengo la esperanza de que Elton sienta gusto por la Ciudad de Panamá, su gente, su clima, su Canal, su historia, su posición en el globo; y quiera regresar. 

The Captain & the Kid es el álbum de estudio #29 del compositor Elton John, y es el segundo álbum autobiográfico en referencia además al liricista Bernie Taupin, dado que el álbum es la secuela de Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, lanzado en 1975.  The Captain & the Kid es una crónica de eventos que han ocurrido en sus vidas desde que empezaron a trabajar juntos hace 30 años.
